1. Leave a detailed message describing your situation, we will read/listen and respond as soon as we are available.
2. Seek alternative veterinary care options. We recommend Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Midlothian. Click here to view their website and contact information.

4. We know that emergent situations are stressful and we hope that we can assist you in any way possible.
We cannot prescribe medication without a proper Veterinary Client Patient Relationship (VCPR), meaning that we have seen the patient within the past year and are up to date on the medical status of your pet/herd.
Has Dr. Irvin examined/seen your pet within the past year? Has Dr. Irvin been on your farm recently to see your herd?
Most medications require a proper indication for use, meaning that we are using the medication to treat a specific condition or disease which needs the proper diagnostics/examination in order to prescribe the most appropriate medication.
If you just need a refill for an existing prescription please just call to get your refill filled.
A VCPR is an agreement between a veterinarian and a client to treat and care for animals. Typically this relationship is valid for six months to one year depending on the type of animal and operation that you have. This relationship allows the veterinarian to diagnose disease, perscribe medication, and give medical advise. Maintaining a valid VCPR has many benefits to both your animals and you.
